I dont think that would be a good idea. Can you imagine the teasing? Its a sweet idea but i wouldnt want my name to be that. How about Naming her Anjel Angeliet Jelleta Angelina Angelica or something like that and call her jelly for short.
If you decide to go with jelly it means little Angel.
Oh I have an Idea How about Joleigh/jolie/jolee because that would be joe and shelly also. joe and lee

yeah for a nickname. it is a goofy idea. that sweet little girl is gonna be made fun of all the time if its her first name and if its a middle name, she will probrably have to keep it a complete secret in order of being made fun of and even if she keeps it a secret until she graduates high school her whole name will still most likely be called out and she will be laughed at! but if i can suggest other names why not bella, or ella, or ellie. Joanna Bella might be a pretty name. The first part of her first name would have a portion of your name Jo, and bella has the ell that her moms name has :) But whatever you should choose is your decision. I just wouldnt put my daughter through that much pain and heartbreak from being made fun of.
Best wishes on the pregnancy and your sweet little girl :)

Jelly would be a very cute childhood nickname or even a middle name, but I think it wouldn't be the best first name choice. Later in life, the name Jelly might be kind of hard to live with. Try Jelena (I think that's a pretty name. It's of Slavic origin and means "bright")

It is a little out there. Why not try Jill or Joely , and nickname her jelly. The cutness of Jelly will wear off so quickly not to mention the torment to be suffered at school. heaven forbid she be a chubby girl I can hear the taunts of
"Jelly Belly " already. Sorry I agree with the wife.

Mmmm, no, sorry, don't think so.
Consider perhaps Angélie and you can use Jelly as a nickname.
Or Shiloe would be another Joe/Shelly combination.

I agree with your wife "Jelly" will probably get made fun of. I like the name Kelly Jo don't you? It it like Shelly and Joe. Kelly can be a first name and Jo a middle name. Or it could be Kelly Jo as the whole first name.

That's nasty. Can you imagine a pretty little girl with the name of Jelly? There are so many mean nicknames that would be associated with her that I can't come up with them all. She'll be called fat and stuff like that. Don't do it to her!! You could have Jelly be her nickname, but not her official name. That's just plain horrible.

haha no jelly is ODD and WEIRD. I respect u guys trying to combine names but, how about Soe? I actually know someone named Soe.
Think about her wedding, I pronounce jelly blah blah and ble ble Husband and wife!
And teenagers, trust me, they are tough and mean these days, I have a sister that knows ppl who are mean and she picks everything bad about them. If ur kid turns out mean, shes in big trouble.
