if it hadn't been for the kindness of several strangers over the years, my kids and i might not be alive.
i've done my best to "pay it forward" and i hope others' do too.

I have had strangers to stop and help me whenever I am broken down on the side of the road; and would not accept any money as repayment..

Addition: I can give you the answer I think you want to hear, but then I'd be lying. Someone once said that if you knew the true motivation behind most people's action, you would be very disappointed.

I have had people offer to help me with my pushchair on and off a bus, but that's about the extent of people's generosity towards me :)

I used to have a huge phobia of escalators, and my mom was going down and I let go of her hand because I was afraid, and when she was already down I was still up, and this elderly lady helpde me and took my hand and rode down with me, I don't think I'll ever forget that:)

i have had several times where strangers came to my aid. i couldnt repay that person, but i have helped others, kind of like the pay it forward type of thing

once i couldnt open my locker door and this random guy came over and helped me open it but other than that never.
