Have you ever thought about a question then realized that there are no answers that you can understand?

For example, the whole idea of how the universe came into existance. Some people say that it was the big bang others say it was God, but all the theories fail to mention one thing... where did those starting points come from? If you say that the big bang came from a bulk of matter that suddenly exploded, where did that original blob of matter come from? If you say God created everything, then where did he come from? At some point you have to either say that something came into existance out of nothing or that things have always existed...that they never had a beginning. Maybe there are just some things that we aren't capable of understanding? What is your theory on how it all got started?

My theory, as best as I can explain is: it all started with my birth. Anything before that time may not actually be true as I have only heard stories, read books, seen it on TV or in movies. Absolutely nothing existed before me nor will anything exist after me. This is only about my total consciousness. That is my only experiential wisdom in answer to how it all began.

Well, it's very hard to say. If you think about it, if there is a beginning and end, that means there has to be time. But Edgar Cayce once stated "viewing it from the highest dimension, there is no space, and there is no time. Time is just an illusion that has purpose".

It's a great point, here is why. The closer earth gets to the sun and orbits the sun, time would technically be moving faster. Things speed up. It proves einstien wrong because he said any new object could distort time and space, but technically, since everything in the universe is here, and matter can't appear from anywhere, those objects are already in existence!

Back to the point, how it all started? Or what is true and what is not? Is god real? Is god some being, or entity, or is god us, water, space, everything?

Rent the movie "What the bleep do we know!?" And I bet anything you will find the answers to your questions! It's probably the most scientific way to describe god, how it began, etc. etc. Amazing movie that changed part of my life! Rent it please!

Happens all the time. That's when I remind myself that I only have my own personal moment of space and time, and that other things beyond that might be nice to ponder, but they are mysteries and shall remain so. Even Einstein knew that the most beautiful thing about life and the universe was its mysteriousness.

Humans try to make sense of reality with a human mind. But they can only get so far. Perhaps that at one "time" there was no space and time at all. These were themselves created. Can you fathom eternity? No end in either direction? Remember, "only God's eye hath the capacity to see God"

I like the steady state theory. The universe has always been here the components go through cycles of change. Stars explode, matter is ejected, matter accumulates some where else, star are born.

They say the universe as we know it is spiraling outwards so it always getting bigger but there must be something on the outside of the known universe that is keeping it together, that contains us.

My thought is that it is like a balloon. As a balloon is blown up it gets bigger and bigger. Eventually it will burst.

The same will happen to our universe, it will eventually break free of its containment and spread.

Now, if you consider that time is finite and has gone on for ever then this break out could have happened before.
Our universe could be a result of such a breakout millions of years ago.

There again earth time was developed by man so it could have been yesterday in universal time.

My answer is my realization that there is limitation in the capacity of our understanding, even though humans are supposed to be the most intelligent beings on this earth.

well that is a easy question for religious people because they can just say that god is god and he doesn't need a reason to be there in the first place. that is the kind of crap that they are allowed to get away with and THEY ACUTALLY BELIEVE THAT IT IS TRUE.

I am comfortable with not being able to know. That way I can sleep at night.

My theory is that your mind seems easily 'bent'. These things are quite sophomoric in nature.
