Nope. Actually I think your really lucky to be honest.
It sure beats having your period in the 4th grade =\
Just give it time and let mother nature to its coarse.
Good luck =)

No, it's not weird. I started mine on my 16th Birthday. Think of it this way, the later you start your period in life, the better. They say that getting your period early puts you at a higher risk for breast cancer.
Although I highly doubt (and hope) that this isn't the case (even though I know that some 16 year olds are) if you are sexually active, you really need to go and see a doctor to make sure that the reason you haven't started your period isn't because of that. (If you are having sex, you are way too young, just so you know).
I would say if you don't get it by the time you turn 18, go see a doc. My mom didn't get hers until she was 17.

No, because the acceptable range to start is between 9 and 18 years old. You're just a late bloomer.
If you still haven't started by the time you are 18, see a Gyn because then something is wrong.

I'm 19 years old and have to take birth control pills in order to have a period each month. At your age I still didn't have my period, so my doctor checked my hormone levels and discovered that my pituitary gland doesn't function on it's own. You should have similar tests done by a doctor to see if everything is in check. I'm sure your particular situation is not as serious as mine but it could be and it is best to find out sooner than later.

It's not bad, but sometime in the next year, make an appointment with a gynecologist to check your hormone levels.
I disagree with the posters who say to wait until 18.
"Nature" can take its course in many bad ways as well as good. It is imperative to learn if this late start may be due to a medical condition necessitating treatment, ie, a tumor or cyst in certain glands.

No it's not weird or strange for this to occur at all. In time you will have your period &then like most women at some point wish that you didn't. (: If it has really gotten you worried then call your family doctor & talk with them at your next appointment.
I had a female doctor so it made it easier for me to talk to her. If your family doctor is a male & would rather talk to a female physician then maybe you or a family member can get a good referral for a physician who is a woman.

No, its not bad, because what i was learned at school, that when you 18 and you don't have your period, the there must be some problems and you should go to the doctor. Just wait until your 18 and you'll probably get it, don't worry <3

It's totally normal - anywhere between 8-18 is. 60 years ago it used to be abanormal if you had it before 16. However if the rest of your body if pretty much fully developed then maybe you should see someone.
