Im so tired of watching espn and seeing all this hype about the yanks and the sox, especially when the yankees suck this year.

i want more hype for the smaller market, yet good, teams. Such as the Indians, Angels, and the Padres.

anyone else here feel the same way?

The Yankees nevertheless? Yeah. way ill of them.

Absolutely!

I was pissed that the Cedar Rapids, IA FOX affiliate didn't show us the Cardinals/Astros as the game of the week choice yesterday as opposed to the Red Sox and Yankees. Granted I am a Cardinals fan, but any Midwest team (Cubs, White Sox, Brewers, Twins, Tigers, etc.) shoud always take priority over that game.

I am tired of the East Coast bias in the media. The last two World Series have been a team from the AL Central vs. a team from the NL Central.

No I don't mind. The Yankees and Red Sox have a cult following around the nation. Also, NY and Boston have a pretty good Japanese following with guys like Dice-K and Matsui.

I live in Atlanta so I have the Mets and their fans to worry about. I don't concern myself with the AL too much.

NR what are you talking about. Tampa is my hometown and I am very insulted by your comment. The D-Rays deserve NO airtime. They suck! Yeah they have talent but the skipper doesn't know what he is doing. I mean problem #1 is he doesn't have Crawford leading off. He doesn't utilize his speed at all. #2 they suck. It's so many problems I don't even want to get into it. Have you every been to Tropicana? It's a friggin kiddie park. Who builds a domed stadium in South Florida or Florida in general? Dumb@$$ morons, that's who. The worst team and the worst ballpark ever deserve no respect until they earn it buddy!

Thank you, teams like the D-rays (Upton, Crawford, Iwamura, Shields, Kazmir, etc.) and the D-Backs (Drew, Jackson, etc.) have great young talent but can't display it nationally. the twins have some of the best in the league with Hunter, Johan, Nathan, Morneau, Mauer and Cuddyer; but no, they get no airtime cuz the yanks/sox are still rivals over what happened 80 yrs ago and they have millions 2 spend on TV deals.

I feel the same way too. There are other teams in the majors and better rivalries out there...not just the red sox and yankees.

Seriously..look at how the Yanks have SUCKED this year!!! the only reason they get ANY attention at all is cuz of the Stray-Rod crap and Clemens coming back. and they're like what, 13 and a half games behind in the division..who really gives a d@mn.

Yeah....being a Padres fan, I don't hear much about them on ESPN except whenever Trevor Hoffman gets a save.

Me too.
They always talk about the teams who have a lot of money for some reason. There are just as good teams out there like yoiu said.
