In the Miracle Worker, what is the "Miracle" that occurs at last?

i have not seen the film for a while,
they are searching for "the cure" against loggers cutting down the forrest. The village medicineman knows the "cure".
They spend time trying to extract it from the fruit the medicineman used. which the shaman descibes as
" a home for bugs" - when they realise the red bugs are the cure, that was thier miracle, but the loggers had reached them by then.

The miracle in the miracle worker is that she is able to teach helen how to understand sign laugauge by making the letters under helens hand and telling her what they are. She also puts helens hand under that water and teaches her to say water.
