Well the other day I rearanged my rooms layout and left my router unpluged for a few hours and since I reconected it it has been going slower than normal and timing out, both wifi and my normal conection.

Its just slightly slower than normal but will time out every few mins

also I reset the router and changed all the security settings on my router.

What can it be?

Did you happen to move the router or the computer closer to a cordless phone, radio or tv? If you did them move them away as far as you can. Also it might help to put the router up as high as you can, preferably over 6 feet high.

Move router around a bit. A wireless router uses radio waves and radio waves are subject to reflection and absorption from nearby (usually metallic) objects.

Sometimes just a couple of inches move will make a big difference.
