If youre talking about the Jack (hole) where the plug fits into, its usually a part of the motherboard. If it's the plastic surrounding the jack (hole), you can just live with it or duct tape it.

I suspect this is not going to be solved by warranty.
If the case is broken then I would go to a repair shop and get them to fix a short length of lead to the laptop with a new socket at the end (so you have a socket dangling from the case on, say 5cm of cable). Make sure they properly clamp the lead so that using the socket doesn't strain the soldered joints. This should be more reliable than tape in the long run. Shouldn't cost and arm or a leg!
