Universal health care. I often wonder how it is that we feel that it makes sense to spend so much defending ourselves against people, who might attack and sometimes do, but who can be negotiated with sometimes, but not be willing to spend as much against diseases that definitely attack and kill Americans every day and can't be negotiated with or scared off.

That is not to agree that we can just leave Iraq and/or stop spending money there. We should change and reduce the mission, but it is not right to make a mess and leave it for the locals to deal with all by themselves.

I would rather spend money on the war.
What would having Universal Health Care accomplish if all of us are killed by Terrorism?
Because if they are able to do to us what they are doing to the rest of the world no doctor or hospital would be able to save us.
We are trying to stop them before that happens.
