A few weeks ago, she threw a rock at my car (while I was sitting in it) it caused some damage, but nothing major. I could let it slide, but now she is asking a favor of me. She wants to take our kids out of the country to visit family. Our divorce decree says she needs my written permission for this. I told her I won't agree to it until she pays for the damage to my car. Now SHE is threatening ME with some sort of legal action. She don't have a prayer, but I want to know how to get her to realize what she did to my car is wrong, and she should take responsibility for it, especially if she is going to ask favors of me. Anybody? Oh yeah, I live in the U.S.A.

How does she figure she is responsible enough to raise children, when she still acts like a child herself?

You are 100% in the right, don't give in, and don't listen to her threats. You should have no problem at all if this goes to court. And I would seek an attorney's help now, seeing that she wants to take the child out of the country. Sounds like trouble is brewing...

Throw some court dates her way (get legal actions going). That would give her a wake up call. She needs to have her boundaries clearly defined.

I would contact my attorney, to advise that your ex wife did attempt to harm you physically by throwing a rock at your car. Did you file a police report? That would be helpful, on your behalf.
Good luck with this.

Kudos to ItsMe....no woman that juvenile should be allowed to take your children anywhere let alone out of the country. Let her take whatever action she wants. Doubt she will come up the winner.

your error is that you did not call the cops to file a report
after all documentation is KEY to any court battle
now it will be hearsay and courts do not like hearsay
hence from now on everything is documented
that and you keep a calm cool demeanor and be resepctful in court
let her blow her top

Based on what you have said, you could probably go to court and petition for sole custody of your kids. She is proving herself unfit to raise them.
