Im getting a computer which will mainly be used for video editing and some gaming. I need an opinion on whether i should accept this offer. Or if I should go for more or less. I know some people said a 400 watt power supply was low.. idk whether that one is good or not. i appreciate the help. thanks guys

At $950 I can do:

Thermaltake Matrix Case with 430 W Coolermaster P/S
20X DVD-RW
2 X 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0 16MB Cache HD - in Raid (500GB Total)
X1950Pro 256MB Video Card
2GB (2x1gb) DDR2 800
Gigabyte P965 Intel Motherboard
Core 2 Duo E4300 Dual core Intel Processor
Home or Vista.

Do NOT go raid, but use the extra drive for storage. If youre worried abut speed, it is a marketing person, not a tech who will say that raid 0 will speed up a computer. It wont in real life. The rpm of the drives and the cache is good, but what brand? If it were me, and I was doing video editing and gaming, I'd get a 74-150 g raptor, and an EXTERNAL hd for storage. The case is nice. The vid card is mediocre, but more than good enough for school or work. The MB is very good. not too bad a processor, but on it is very much on the low side. Sounds more like a marketing company than a computer mfgr. They don't confgure well. The power supply is a bit on the low side, but not too bad.

I am a computer builder, and everything loOKs ok for what you want to do ! Personally , you can build something better for cheaper! You can get a 512MB card , a better power supply, dual optical drives , a card reader and a better motherboard for cheaper! I see people all the time asking too much for what their computer is worth!

Good specs in my opinion. I only have a problem with the power supply. You might want to go with 500 watts if you can afford it. If you can't 430 watts should be o.k.

Sounds like a good dealmabobber. Go for it (even though I don't agree with the decision to run Windows)

Everything is great besides the video card. If you can get a better video card it'd be great.
