That was Bush's plan when the legislation was passed. I don't know if all the states adopted it, but in Florida with Jeb Bush as our Governor it was passed and you can not even get one renewed without it. It should be called our national identification number since that is what it has become. When the legislation was passed regarding social security, congress assured the American public that it would NEVER be used for anything but social security and the Internal Revenue Service. There even used to be a law that you did not need to provide it to anyone. That all changed under the Reagan administration.

You need 6 points of proof, a social security card and birth certificate are both worth 3, but you need 3 forms of ID minimum.

Other things that can get you points are union cards, credit cards, health insurance card, etc..

All i needed was proof of birth as in a birth certificate oh yes you do just remembered cause they used it on my number.
