I like wearing tank tops a lot during the summer, but i was wondering if it is bad to have your bra straps showing, or should i find a bra that will hide under the tank?

In my opinion, it all depends on the environment you are in.
If you are gardening in your yard, or at a close family and friends BBQ, I say go for it. If you are getting fast food, or stopping by a dollar store or WalMart, I wouldn't do it but I wouldn't gripe about it either.
Now, if you are at a higher class establishment, at work, at a park, or in mixed company it would be best to find something else to wear.
Personally, I hate wearing bras under tank-tops, so I buy spaghetti-strap tank tops with built-in bras. That way I'm cool, comfortable, and not the least bit self-conscious.

It's not necessarily a bad thing to have your bra straps showing. If your tank and bra straps match, then I'm all for it. But I'm not for the thick bra straps and skinny tank straps. Just as long as they match, and are overly attention drawing, you're gonna be fine. If it's a problem, then I think you should wear a strapless bra. That way, no one complains, and everyone is happy.

hmm...kind of depends. i normally try to wear a strapless bra under my spaghetti strap style camisoles so that I don't have to worry about the straps at all. Normal tanks with thicker straps, I wear my regular bras.
Although I have a few camisoles, where the straps are as wide as one of my bras and is the same color. So I will do that especially if layer the cami undersomething else.
However, I really don't care for it when people wear say a white or other light color and then black bra under. That is very tacky.

it's not bad to have the straps showing unless the straps are torn and dirty. my best advice is, if you don't want to find a strapless bra, then wear a bra with thin straps and that match the color of your tank top. also make sure that they are clean and not torn or anything like that.

I think bra straps look tacky. If you have to have straps, get one with clear straps. They're still visible up close, but not from a distance.

I know lots of people have bra straps showing but it looks awful - where a bra that doesn't show, it looks much classier.

i don't its that big of a deal. mine show all of the time. you wouldnt want to have to wear an uncomfortable bra just b.c some people dont like it. but if you live in an culture that really doesnt approve of it, then its probably better not to show it.

for my school we are not allowed to have a bra strap shwing but i don't really know what the big deal is! I have to wear straples bras sometimes but they are pretty annoying! Idk if it shows its not a big deal and if my school didn't care then i would not wear straples! But it's your choice! hope i helped =p

Your mom prob. thinks it's gross/slutty to have the bra straps showing, I think if it feels right to you then go for it.
Just make sure they're thin and clean.
