an asteriodnone of the vast number of small bodies that revolve independently around the sun. their diameters range from a few meters to around 1,000km (600 miles) the greatest concentration of asteriods is in the main belt, which lies between the orbits of mars and jupiter. asteriods are found through out the solar system. a near earth asteriod is whos body comes close to and orbits the earth. a near earth asteriod is defined as 1 that has a perihelion distance of less than 1.3 times the earths mean distance from the sun.
a comet a small body composed mainly of dust-laden ice that revolves around the sun, usually in a highly elongated orbit.each time it approaches the sun, gas and dust evaporate from its nucleus to form an extensive cloud, called the coma, and one or more tails.
a meteoroid a lump or small particle of rock, metal or ice orbiting the sun in interplanetary space. a meteoroid sizes range from a fraction of millimeters to a few meters.some are debris from collisions between asteroids, others are particles released by comets, these spread out along cometary orbits to form meteroriod streams.
hope this helps 4 u

Asteroids are rubble that orbit the sun between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. A comet used to be thought of as a "dirty snowball", but now there is some evidence that they may be solid. They come for an area outside of the orbit of Neptune and Pluto and orbit the sun. Meteoroid is any object traveling through space and will intercept the Earth's orbit. They are mostly composed of iron and nickel. Many are the dust of comets.

An asteriod is pretty much the same as a hemorrhoid and located in the same place.
A comet is an antique Mercury.
A meteriod is a Nappy Headed old gal who writes parking tickets for guys who did not put no money in the meter.
Now just in case you dismiss me as a ignorant hill billy may I point out my answer would have been entirely different if you had asked about an "Asteroid" and a "Meteoroid".

Asteroids are rocks, comets are rock and ice. Asteriods are factors of our photograph voltaic device - rocks that did not exchange into planets. Comets come from the Oort Cloud, that's a cloud of airborne dirt and mud and ice in a halo around our photograph voltaic device. Comets many times do not purely orbit the solar, they arrive in on very elliptical orbits while they are knocked out of the Oort cloud.
