Yes, they will work, but they wll not be dual channel mode and they will be running at 3200. If you buy another 1g pc25300 it will be dual channel but 3200.

ninety 9% of the time, any length/variety RAM will artwork with what you have already got on your device, as long because it relatively is the same form. (i've got run into some AMD machines that are picky approximately matching RAM...) on account which you have PC3200 in it, you need to use PC3200 with it. PC5300 won't artwork. you need to purchase a 1GB stick of PC3200 for dirt low-fee now, and function a million.25GB of RAM. the fee:earnings ratio is definitely nicely worth it if so. till you're a gamer or computing gadget fanatic usually, you will no longer observe the version between single and twin channel.

Check your manual and see what works for the motherboard U have. a jump from 3200 to 5300 doesn't sound good, but they're close enough that they might be compatible....CHECK YOUR MANUAL!=)

Maybe, but at the lower speed of the 2. It's best to match all RAM for performance. Mismatched RAM can cause problems. I didn't say it would, but it can.
