How can I convince my ex to at least give us another chance, even on a trial basis? Both of us still care for the other one. She thinks it is too late. She said it is too much water under the bridge. I told her you build new bridges. She has seen my profile on the dating site & said if if were a few years back that she would jump on it.
There was a lot of arguing toward the end, but I really believe that there has to be some way to work this out. Its been a year & we still care about one another. She said the trust is gone.
I have always believe that where there is a will, there is a way & never say never!

Relationships are 2 ways, if one partner isn't willing to try you have to let it go - no matter how much you don't want to.

You're right, but you have to be willing to accept her answer. If you never say never, sooner or later there's going to be a restraining order somewhere with your name on it! Don't pester her about it, because she's the only one who can make the decision of whether she wants to give it another try. To the extent that she might otherwise consider it, now that you're 1) available, and 2) still interested in her, she's probably feeling so good about herself that she wants to see what else there is out there. Don't you? Since you're both free to test the waters, you should both do just that. You might find someone who is better for you. Also, she might find you to be more attractive if you are no longer available (to her).

Either way, prepare yourself for the prospect of never getting her back. That way, regardless of what happens, you won't be disappointed.

Unfortunately you can't. It is very admirable to want to work things out, but remember it takes two. Give her some time and try to have an open and honest conversation with her. Don't push, but let her know how you feel....then the ball is in her court. Trust is a hard to re-build...it has to be earned. Take it slow, be patient, and good luck.

Work on being friends and the rest will come. You need to rebuild the trust and that will take a while. I wouldn't even discuss the whole getting back together thing, just concentrate on being the best friend to her you can be at this moment in time, without being pushy and overbearing. It'll work out, I hope.

She has told you her feelings about your relationship and you need to respect that. If you truly care for her, you won't try to convince her to do something she doesn't want do to. Yes, it is true 'if there's a will, there's a way', but both of you have to want the relationship to work. She deserves to be with someone she trusts.

If it's been a year and she says she's lost trust in you, you need to accept that this relationship is over. Once you lose trust, you usually do not get it back. Stop stalking her. Move on and resolve to not cheat on the next woman in your life. It ruined this relationship.
