Why do you keep asking questions about black people? Black people aren't the only ones that are easily influenced by the hip hop culture. That would be like asking why are white people easily influenced by punk-rock or country. I'm not influenced by hip hop culture.

I don't believe that black people somehow have a predetermined genetic trait that makes them more susceptible to embracing the hip hop culture. I mean, hiphop did emerge from the black community but as far as I'm concerned it has morphed into something completely different. Which is why I don't listen to anything mainstream and stick to the underground and old stuff. I myself am black and I don't embrace this carbon copy corporate "hip hop" culture.

Because they can relate to it. Well not all but most. It is the same to say that a lot of mid us folks love country music. When X country music singer talks about his pick up truck a lot of white folks relate immediately. Black people not so much. Neither of them can relate to salsa or Chinese folkloric songs.

I don't see that as the case. Why are whites more influenced by country. How many black Goths do you know? Does anyone really know why we are influenced by anything. Most people choose what they can relate to, or what speaks to us. Why are us indians influenced by PowWows. It speaks to our soul. I think it goes deeper that culture or color.
