It doesn't matter who the hug is from as long as it's genuine. But there's something to be said about a man with strong arms give you a full body hug (not in a sexual sense). It's like being completely enveloped in a warmth.

I don't really have a preference. I like hugs. I love to give them and get them from my friends, co-workers, and family.

From a woman: Kissing on the 1st date is high-quality. not a p.c.. on the cheek or liplocking, purely a classic gentle kiss on the lips If the guy knew what he exchange into doing, it does not be awkward. His hand could be on her face or something so as that it may be glaring that it is not a hug.
