Unfortunately, graphing is difficult in a text answer! But here's what you do. Get both equations into slope-intercept form, y=mx+b. Then graph both lines carefully, and their point of intersection is the solution. If they do not intersect (i.e. they are parallel), there is no solution. If they intersect everywhere (i.e. they are the same line), there are infinitely many solutions.

It looks to me like this system has no solution, so graph it and find out.

Easiest way is to set x = 0 and find y, then set y = 0 and find x. This gives you two points and all you have to do is draw a line through these two points to get the line.

Do the same for the second equation to get second line.

In your case here, you should get two separate lines that are parallel to each other and therefore there is no solution.
