Did you do the breakup or did the other person? Do you still want to be friends with the other person?

If you did it, don't date a mutual friend of yours. That will only make the other person uncomfortable, if not downright mad. Heck, don't let the other person see you dating anyone at all for a while until their feelings settle out.

If you were the breakee, get out of the house and do things that you like to do that you may not have done while you were inthe relationship. Enjoy the freedom that you now have to do things that you might not have been able to do with the other person.

In either case, find a friend you do not want to date (preferably of the unpreferred sex) and have a long night of talking about the relationship that just ended. complain about what you did not like about the other person, recognize what you did wrong in the relationship, and just have it all out. If you drink, use this as an excuse to get a little lubricated BUT DO NOT GET TOTALLY BLITZED! That will only get you in trouble. Just get all your feelings out of your system, Even write it down if you have to.

Do not talk about the brakup at length to any potential new partner. That will only make them think you are aobsessing and turn them off.

Live your life, you're the only one who has to.

I hope this helps.

Allow yourself time to grieve.
When I got upset, I'd go for a long walk. Didn't care if others saw my tears; I'm not ashamed.
I rode my bike alot. Found positive ways to channel my energies, for the most part.
But then I also just let myself cry now and then.

It was the easiest breakup I ever had because I didn't try to bury myself from the pain, AND I didn't do self-destructive things to myself.

Message me for support, Honey.

Cry if you have to. Take time to adjust and get on with the program. Get a Life. Don't stay home, do something do keep you busy.
