A month and a week and play again? No way. While surgical techniques have improved greatly, they are not that good yet. It was a full year before I could play again at 100% but I did the ACL and the MCL. Some of that depends on just how badly you ripped it up and what they had to do to repair it. Best case I would say at least 9 months minimum. And even then I doubt if you'd be 100% ready to go.

ACL is short for anterior cruciate ligament. It is one of the major ligaments of the knee. Hines Ward was not born without an ACL in his right leg and he is having a good career in the NFL. It will take you a long time to recover and you will need rehab

My girlfriend had her ACL repaired. She used crutches for about 5 days, and she was laid up on the couch for almost three weeks. She never needed a wheelchair. Starting three days after her surgery, her physical therapist came to the house three times a week, and helped her regain flexibility. She was back to TaeKwonDo within two months.

No. Ask gale sayers. Year or more to get back to full potential, few months before any playing- sorry. If you miss your season, play other sports to get back/stay in shape-linemen=wrestling,linebackers hockey db/wr track, anybody field (discus type things) Tall players basketball, coordinated people baseball and so on. Work on it at the gym a lot to heal sooner.

Nope. I had it done and it took me a full year to get back to 3/4 speed! It sucks, the majority of rehab went great but putting my trust back into my knee took a long time. Good luck!
