I rented my car from Budget. I damaged my car, my friend says I would have to change one tire, two tire caps, and probably one wheel.
The car is PT Cruiser. Should I contact the Budget and let them handle the problem, or should I fix by going to near auto shop and get it over?

Thans in advance for your answers.

When you rented the car, you made a contract with Budget and more than likely there is something in that contract if the vehicle is damaged while in your possession. So first you need to contact Budget, chances are that they will file a claim with your auto insurance company for damages, yes, YOUR auto insurance company. It is a requirement with any rental car company for you to have your own auto insurance before they will even let you rent a car for whatever reason, (depending on the requirements for the state where the Budget location is) You are bound by the contract you made with them when you rented the car. DO NOT have the repairs done yourself. You could be opening yourself to legal action if you do, you are required to follow the terms set forth in the contract for the rental.

I would let them deal with it. Did you get insured? Even if you didn't many credit cards come with rental insurance.
