Personally, I think outside is better. I spent most of my childhood in my backyard. We lived on a huge wooded lot with a creek running through it . I must have spent every moment possible out there.

If they are inside you can keep your eye on them but then they might drive you up the wall. If they are lost in the woods then anything can happen to them but aleast you would have been able to clean the house while they were out. A choice you gotta make.

I like my kids to be outdoors as much as possible. Fresh air is great for them. But you've obviously got to be careful. I'd rather them be that way than stuck inside watching the T.V. or on the playstation definately.

depends- are you with them? then, the woods
If they are alone- backyard- keeps them in, strangers out
The outdoors are better for them- more exercise, fresh air. I sent mine to Colorado (Estes Park) for two weeks with their grandparents- they don't want to come home!
