I know that it's hard to hear, but if you really want my honest opinion then... i'm sorry but I don't care for them. I actually think that Empress for a girl is better than the choice for a boy. If you both agree on those names then you have already gotten past the worst part. You love it, so go with it. I've already learned that you can't please everyone w/ the name you choose. I'm naming my little girl Reese... oh the crap I'm already getting, but the point is my husband and I already love it and call her that.. so who cares.

Best of luck on the 12th! I hope you get to see for sure. It will be so exciting!!!! It was the best feeling knowing what she was... it seems so much more real!!!

I would not use Emperor -- what about using the names of actual emperors.

Adrian, Charles, Claude, Napoleon, Peter and Titus are popular Emperor baby names for a boy.
Arsenio, Constantine, Czar and Hadrian are uncommon.

For girls: Agnes and Constance are used more often than Agrippa, Agrippina, Lalla and Seneca which are uncommon.

Keep in mind that children are cruel ... your child will be teased for having a name like Emperor or Empress. I personally wouldn't do it ...

i love unique names. the only down side to names like Emperor and Empress is there are NO nick names. it would be very hard for a child 4-7 to call, let alone spell, their best friends name if it was emperor. :]
when the child is older they will probably appreciate their uniqueness.

to much. that is really settin your kids up for being picked on. like everyone else said. kids these days are mean. and just because you like it, you still need to think of the child's future with that name. i know a name don't make a person, but it can sure can break one, by being picked on...i'd try a little less unqiness there. and maybe take some of the ideas other have suggested...

Royal names are pretty terrible. They give a child a lot to live up to but rarely does it work. Look at Michael Jackson's kids. Prince Michael this, that, and the other. It's really just plain tacky.

First off CONGRATS girl's name is good boy's name is to much if looking for names that are different use the bible or myth books but keep it more of a gentiles name not a rulers people thank that conceited & the kid has to deal with it not the name giver remember school is cruel

I agree thats a lot of pressure to put on a child. I personally wouldn't go there but they are your children. Its up to you and your boyfriend. Kids these days are mean just keep that in mind when your thinking of names for you baby. Good luck
