My brother got a leopard gecko in september 2006 at the Northern Reptile show, and it seems to have all the stress problems i have read about. I talked to him about it and he won't listen all he does is stand his ground. I don't want it to die and my parents don't care if it dies they just aren't going to by him another one. What should i do?

Get your facts together about gecko care and go to your parents. Let them know that you believe this is a living creature capable of getting sick and of feeling pain. They are not setting a good example for your brother on the importance of respecting life and assuming responsibility for that life. The gecko deserves the right care and it is up to your parents to enforce that care. To do otherwise is considered animal abuse.

I would just take care of it. I have a few leos myself and had bought one for my niece for her birthday a few years ago. When she started to lose interest in it, she stopped taking care of it and I just took care of it and I still have it to this day and it looks alot better than what it did before (not as skinny and more active).

Tell him its yours and that he will never see it again. Ten as planed ,he hill probably say no its his . then say nope its mine now ,you don't take care of it .
Make him feel like he is going to miss it . if all goes good he will probably say that hes going to take care of it .
If that doest work THEN you can kick his little ***.Till he wished he never got it in the first place.
And them just keep it for your self, there pretty cool pets . ; )

I would probably tell him that if he doesn't take care of it than you'll just have to take it from him because you actully care about the gecko!!!!

Take care of it yourself but kick his *** before you do, I hate it when people neglect their pets.
