Bern R. The cat was a freak. It had opposable thumbs, and now, alas they are gone. A disclaimer: No actual felines where injured in the making of this question. My real cat would not get near a lawn mower unless there was cat food on it.

Tsk, tsk......cats should never mow without protective footwear - safety first.
Check the consent papers you signed for the vet - the proper terminology will be in a claws.

Where do I start? Why is your cat chewing her declawed paws? Do you really know so little about cats that you don't know she is chewing it because it is hurting and irritating her every waking moment? So you should be worried, it's a terrible thing you have paid to have done to those cats, you say "two of my cats got their front paws declawed" well no actually they didn't YOU did! You also say one is "doing just fine" which to me sounds as though, yes the cat is thankfully recovering, but is less than the perfect cat she was before the multiple amputation of her toes. You are ALMOST regretting it? Almost? And yet you've described how your cat is chewing on her paw, and now you think they are poor paws...why didn't you realise they were PRECIOUS paws before you got half of them sliced off? But however bad you may feel it isn't a patch on how bad your cat feels. No it will not "blow over" the constant licking and chewing will break the skin and infection will set in, your cat probably already has a fever even now, you need to get to a vet fast, preferably one who does not declaw cats, get the paws examined thoroughly and x-rayed if necessary and get help for that poor dear suffering cat, you might also have your other cat checked too, the vet who butchered the pair of them obviously isn't much good. I hope you're satisfied with your decision, you obviously chose to risk your cats health and wellbeing, now you are reaping your just reward.
