At least until after they know what the baby is 20 weeks or so.
Ususally about 20-30 weeks so the mom to be isn't too exhausted, and uncomfortable. and can put things away and send out thank you cards and stuff.

Most baby showers take place 2-6 weeks before the mother's due date. I would think the absolute earliest you should have one would be 8 weeks before the due date.

At least past the point of viability, which with current technology is about 24 weeks. But I would say most women are about 32-38 weeks.

the later in pregnancy, like between 30 and 36 weeks. much sooner and there could be complications causing the pregnancy to end, much later and the baby could come early and be there for the shower.

I had mine when I was 7 months pregnant, this way it was late enough in my pregnancy so that I knew what I was having but not too close to my due date.

It really depends but don't do it too close, pregnant mo may be so tired she wants nothing to do with baby showers (that's what happened to me)

With my son, I was about 7 months when I had my showers. It really doesn't matter though.
