I didn't buy my first home - it was given to me.
I was 5 years old and my new home was the cardboard box that the new TV was delivered in.
Dad cut a door and a window in it and I lived in that box (in my bedroom) for ages. I even ate all my meals in that box.
I'm now 65 years old - I've had many houses and apartments and I even owned a rather large hotel for several years, but none were as much fun as my first home.

26 -- two months after we got married. We lived there for 5 1/2 years, sold it then bought our 2nd house. We lived there for 9 1/2 years, sold that and then built our dream house where I will probably live until I am too old to deal with it anymore, then we will probably sell it and move into a condo downtown.
