I left the garbage indoors for a little too long and now I see ants crawling all over the garbage. I got rid of the garbage yesterday, cleaned the floor, thought everything was fine... then this morning I found a bunch of ants in the kitchen! killed those too... but now I'm not sure when more will appear?

I was told that I should spray vinegar around the entrances and stuff... how effective is vinegar??

Ammonia based window cleaner works well for removing the chemical that ants leave behind like a trail of breadcrumbs. There are commercially available ant baits that work best though. Try Grants ant stakes.

vinegar is very effective for ants. you can also use paprika and hot pepper. but if that doesn't work I would call somebaody to spray as ants can do alot of damage and they multiply quickly.
