V-J Day is Victory over Japan Day. It was (and still is in Rhode Island) celebrated on August 14th, 1945.

V-J Day is September 2nd , commemorating the victory over the Japanese in the Second World War on September 2, 1945.

The day that celebrated our victory over Japan. What a day that must have been. VE Day is the day we celebrated the war over Europe. Our military excursions into other countries has gone down since.
