adults should have the right to put anything they like into their mouth and they have the right to eat as many french fries, chocolates and smoke as much tobacco as they want if they pay their own medical insurance/costs.
If they don't have the money and my taxes go to helping them with all their medical ills from their self gluttony, then I don't believe my taxes should pay for their free medical .
PERIOD

Putting anything foreign in your lungs is not a good idea. Evidence supports that doing so 'can' contribute to lung cancer. Some people can become addicted to smoking.

Whether it is smoke from tobacco, smoke from any other source, heavy perfume scent, or whatever an individual wants to put into their body, it is their personal decision and they must live with the results whatever they are.

As with anything else they cannot force the results of their act on other people. The same can be said with whatever people do. Do what you want but do not infringe on others. Those who want to control what others put in their bodies should spend their time looking to themselves and not what others do.

It is a product that is compelling for its users, but with a zero benefit.

In fact, tobacco use keeps the hospitals busy and the doctors wealthy.

To be free and with a comfortable level of disposable income, is to be susceptible to the of the allure of tobacco products.

It is a habit and an indulgence that the most brilliant people have freely chosen to adopt.

Tobacco, while pleasurable for a short time is addictive and can have long term negative effects. If people choose to smoke, it is fine with me, just don't make me breath in the same smoke filled air.

I gave up smoking 5 years ago and I feel so much better, there is nothing sensible about tobacco at all. I think that it is stupid to start up smoking this day and age, knowing what we know about it and it is sooo hard to quit.

I think everything possible should be done to get a smokeless generation. There are no positives about tobacco.

But if you choose to smoke then you should have the right as long as it does not impinge on the rights of people who choose not to smoke.
Even though I smoke I never let my smoke get into other peoples faces. So I agree with smokeless public places.

It is good for major burns, bruises, and for sick cattle. But smoking it is foolish would you make a camp fire and stick your head close enough to get smoke inhalation? Would you run into a burning house just to smell the smoke?
