How do I go about starting a small gift shop?

I have a small embriodiery business and would like to set up my own gift shop. Anyone have any tips or ideas on how to go about it?

The biggest drawback to a beginning business person is raising the capital. With things costing the way they are., even a small shop, you better have a starting capital of about $30,000- $45,000. This includes money you need to keep you going ,until you get the business rolling to where it can bring in some real income, which is about 3-6 months.
