Some guy mentioned one of my questions as a reason for having an anxiety attack. Is that kind of overreacting? I dont know. I think so. I mean, I didnt want to cause that. But I was concerned about people not getting medical attention because they were asking for advice here. My intentions were pure. Now I've caused an anxiety attack. What's a man to do?
Anyway, why is it that some people think it's OK to say anything here. Unless they disagree?

Hey Paul C, I'm not worried. And I'm not a whistle blower. I am an observationalist. Dont make assumptions about people you dont know. I just think its kind of silly to get that worked up. Personally, I couldnt care less.

There are some people who just do not have the mental constitution to be allowed out in public. They get upset at things that other people say or do when it really has no effect on them at all.
People with fragile dispositions like this are why "politcal correctness" nearly took over the country. People were so afraid of mere words that they forget the childhood truism, "Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me."
But perhaps, I am straying from the topic. Yes, people who get so caught up in answers here, and there are a lot of mean people here, should stay away and do their own research with the Yahoo Search engine, rather than rely on the advise of random strangers.

People have to have some responsibility for their own behavior. What kind of advice do people think they are going to get when they ask a question here? Do they think it is going to be professional advice? How can they check out people's credentials? From the questions I have seen, how can they be sure that they expressed themselves correctly? How can they be sure their problem was understood? You know, there are a lot of problems with getting good advice from here and the best advice is see a doctor, psychiatrist, or psychologist instead of asking here if you think you really have a problem. If you gave an answer in good faith, well, you did the best you could, like any friend.

I totally agree with you that people should be seeking medical attention from doctors and not on here, especially for serious problems. If that causes someone to have an anxiety attack, they should go see a doctor about it. Of course it's easy for me to say that because I live in Canada not the states, but that just goes to show their medical system is really screwed up!

Anxeity attacks are triggered from all sorts of different stimulia. I think it's very possible for a person to have an anexity attack by reading something upsetting (even if that upsetting thing was an innocent question). I, however, would not feel bad for causing one if it was not your intention. The person suffering from anexity attacks needs a bit of help, hopefully they will talk to their doctor and get the help they need.

That is a bit overreacting. It sounds silly, but they might have some sort of disorder with things that a simple question could trigger an anxiety attack. Which sounds unusual as well, but who knows.
I kinda freak out at the Philosophy section when you see the question, "What is the meaning of life?" What a cliched question.

I'll admit to getting pretty ticked off and fired up over some questions regarding Christianity by atheists, but an anxeity attack, that seems a bit extreme.

there are lots better things to feel anxious about. if they need medical attention, they need to call 9-1-1 and not ask in here. I wanna reach through the monitor and shake them for being so clueless. in all likelihood you didn't cause the anxiety attack. they probably were already pretty anxious.

I think it's silly.... Oh well, ya tried.
I think people say whatever they want on Answers because they don't have to face the people they say them to.
