Make sure you bond with the person and not to be too clingy, but just enough to show that you care about your child. Also, you have to ensure that your child knows what's right and what's wrong, and why wrong is a bad thing to do. It's just like raising a normal child, because having a sociopath for a child is rare, unless you give it such neglect.

The likelihood that you will raise a sociopath is not very high, unless it runs in the family. Be compassionate, listen to your kids, hug them, spend time with them, etc., etc.

teach them that they are special - that when they grow up they mau not be as sucessful as the next guy but that that does not make them a looser - that even though it may seem others have more everyone struggles at some point

I think they are also born that way. make sure you teach your children right from wrong and that inappropriate behavior has consequences. give them love and teach them compassion. if they learn these lessons young, they'll be decent adults. if they don't seem to learn, they may need professional help. but don't worry. they are few and far between.
