I am creating a forum hosting website, which will allow members to register for FREE ipb boards etc... however when trying to set it up via my database, it doesn't work :(
I get the following error:
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (46)
I get this when using "localhost" as the "SQL host"... I have been advised to ask for my FQDN for my site (http://theglobalforums.com) {MUST BE WITHOUT THE WWW. AS THIS LEADS TO ANOTHER SITE}
Can you help?!

I have edited my site so that "www."theglobalforums.com no longer points to an alternative IP, as this was pointing to one of my forums.
Both with AND without the www. should work, and lead to the exact same page now!
Any clue how I would contact the provider?! There seems to be no options, and it's all just FAQ's, and I can't find anything!
Thank you in advance
