The Hannibal that existed long ago has nothing to do with the fictional character but Hannibal Lecter was based off of several serial killers including Ed Gein.

Insane. I would of liked to see them make of movie of the actual true story though. Cause he exsisted a very very long time ago. My boyfriend had done a school report on the real Hannibal lector.

He is a man who knows what he wants and more importantly how to get it. He was brilliant, twisted and unstopable.
It is wonderful that he is a character in a movie. Someone mentioned that he existed a long time ago, thank God he is not around anymore.
People like him scare the heck out of me, but it is fun to watch them in action.

Anthony Hopkins did a fantastic job portraying him. He brought him to life and gave me chills. Great movie and character

i say he is a creepy individual, i'd be scared if he was my neighbor, thank goodness he is imaginary. it's quite amazing that the human mind can go beyond its own weakness like fear or even pity.
