Could be that your mouse settings got changed.
Go to the start button.
Then go to control panel.
Then go to the mouse icon and click.
Click on the pointers options tab at the top of the window.
Then simply change the setting to the speed you wish.
Hit apply, and then ok, and you should be done.
Hope this helps!!

What kind of mouse is it? Is it optical or rolling ball? If it has the ball it may need cleaning. Turn the mouse over and twist off the cover, remove the ball and clean the rollers inside. It could also be the setting, check the mouse properties. Try changing the mouse pad. They get dirty and make it so that the mouse is sluggish.

first make sure your mouse pad is clean.
if it is a laser mouse just wipe off the bottom
if it is a ball mouse take off the cover [on the bottom] take out the mouse, clear away the dirt and just simply put the mouse back together.
if that doesn't work your computer may just be working slow,
or check your connection from your mouse cord to your tower.

you can increase your pointer speed by going to control panel and clicking on mouse or sometimes mouse and other pointing devices. on the tabs select pointer speed and adjust the speed by moving the slider from the middle to any position to your right. if that doesnt work, then you need a new mouse.

Probably just dirty inside.Turn it over and rotate the cover holding the ball until it comes out and clean out the inside of the mouse using a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol.
