My friend and I were just having a discussion about the episode where Dru was killed. Dru and Sharon were having a conversation about Phyliss and her blackmail and Danial walks by. Sharon asks "how he turned out so well with a mother like Phyliss" and Dru replies "she didnt raise him".
The question is has Phyliss rubbed off on Danial? He is going around doing all this lying and getting into cahoots with the wrong people since he has been living closer to his mother. Thoughts.

Well, no offense but this question is not about Sharon and Dru's mistakes. Its about Danial and Phyliss. I only mention Sharon and Dru because my friend was trying to make a point that included that scene when we were talking about this.

I dont think Phyllis rubbed off on him I think that ***** Amber rubbed off on him..think about it other than the incident with Alex & his drinking problem he hadnt done anything that was really wrong until Amber came into tha picture..she gave him tha link to see the video of her online which introduced him to tha porn site, sent him a pic of her breasts, and even convinced him to lie about all of it..if all of this was b/c of Phyllis, Daniel would b doing a lot worse trust me

I really do not get why people give thumbs down when someone says anything negative about Dru and Sharon. Yeah Phyllis is manipulative but so is Dru (remember Carmen and years ago when she was trying to steal her sister Olivia's husband Nate????) or what about Sharon and her many affairs and remember when she and Nick first met she lied about her age and her daughter. Why doesn't everyone take off their rose colored glasses. Daniel was raised in a boarding school, I think he there was another actor when he was first introduced and the first we ever saw of him he was in bed with some girl. Bottom line most guys are into porn, etc. Wives don't like it, she can't prove he cheated she should get over it. Other than that he has been a pretty stand up guy although he tends to get into trouble when Amber and Kevin are around.
I agree with Salem girl.

Yeah but since she didn't raise him I think his wrong doings are really his own fault and they have nothing to do with his mom. But also the whole porn thing really is Amber's fault cause she got him into it, she's is such a trouble maker! I love her hahaha! And Daniel, he always was sorta a bit on the wild side. Even before he know Phylis was his mom.
You know he is leaving the show right? That actor's contact is up so he's out. Damn, he's HOT, I'm gonna miss him!

it's nobody's fault. Daniel is a grown married man and he is allowing Amber to lead him around by the nose. You cant blame Phyllis for that. Phyllis had nothing to do with his porn addiction, or the fact that he has nude pictures of other women in his phone. He's just being mannish.
Danny Romalotti was as square as you can get, so why isn't Daniel more like him?
Parents just have us and do the best they can until we hit 18, after that everything we do is on us.

No one, in real life or in soaps, is better of without their mother.......and it's too easy to blame the mother when the CHILD (and in Daniel's case....the ADULT) makes bad decisions all on his own....
I would blame Phyllis if Daniel was doing anything remotely SIMILAR to what Phyllis has done in the past, but as far as I know, Phyllis has never dabbled in porn or swinging.....
And further more...who is Dru to criticize? Seems to me she was LESS than perfect, and her kids turned out ok....oh yeah, and that goes double for Sharon.....

I don't know if it is because she was or wasn't around, but I do know that Daniel has NOT had a positive influence in his life to help guide him and steer him from right and wrong. I mean holy hell Phylis was talking to Daniel about laving the country with his baby sister to avoid being indited! What kind of message is that?

Phyllis has made alot of mistakes,but Daniel was raised by his father most of his life.Daniel is a grown man,so he should be accountable of for his actions.Phyllis is not to blame for her son acting like a jerk,and having a porn addiction.Daniel she be a man and admit he has a problem with porn,rather than lie and yell at Lily.

No I don't think Daniel was better off without his Mom.
I think Phyllis has changed a lot and really loves Nick..
As far as Daniel.......I believe that he is just making some bad choices in his marriage. Amber isn't helping him either!! LOL

i don't think phyliss is that bad. when dru and sharon fell over the cliff, it was an accident. phyliss didn't raise him cuz she lost custody to danny.

I think she is trying to do good with him as of right now. She is trying to talk to him about the porn and stuff. She is trying to straighten him out.
