I never thought of Speedy as offensive since he cleverly outwitted his oponent but his cousin, Slowpoke Rodrigus, was offensive with the stereotypical lazy, slow-witted, slouching dirty Mexican.
I haven't watched cartoons for awhile so I can't answer on the reruns.

I'm not sure if it was offensive toward Mexican's, but I know they don't show that cartoon anymore. I haven't seen for quite some time now.

Speedy Gonzales wasn't offensive to me, at all. People find many things offensive these days it really amazes me how people can turn something so innocent (kid cartoons) into something awful. I don't know if they still show re-runs on tv.

personally me being Mexican i never found them offensive but to other people they could be i guess.and to the other question thet still showing the re-runs i believe i saw one a while a go late at night in the boomerang channel
