Don't completely cover the top, or if you do be sure to have plenty of air holes. If you seal it up the gases produced with make the lid pop of and that could get really messy lol

Wet cereal isn't a good idea as a fish food. For your guppies I would suggest a mixture of feedings. use finely crushed flake food about 1/2 the time and baby brine shrimp the rest of the time.

Yes you can cover the worms, but have air holes. Or use a deep dish container with no cover.

No, don't give your baby guppys wet cereal. It will foul your water and you are not giving them the nutrition they need. Just ground up adult flakes, or you can buy specially made packages of 'baby fish' food.
