Depends upon the insect in question. I am an insect collecter and some of the ones I would definitely rescue are the North American Burying Beetle, Luna Moth, Honey Bee, Owl Fly, Robber Fly, Clear Winged Moth, any butterfly, just to name a few. Some of the above are on the endangered list and the rest are beautiful or useful insects.

It depends. When I was in Barcelona once I rescued a cockroach which was attempting to cross a busy road. I placed it carefully on the sidewalk the other side and a guy promptly trod on it. I have successfully rescued various butterflies from my two cats mouths however.
I would say therefore it depends on the insect, the situation and the likelyhood of success!

Don't know about rescue. To what end? Insects don't have long lives, and there is certainly no shortage of them lol.
If I saw a bug in distress, say a beetle that was injured and squirming around on the ground, I'd probably put it out of its misery. Or get my hubby to do it. That "crunch" grosses me out.

I do it all the time. My girlfriend thinks it is disgusting. If some living creature animal or insect gets in the house or my place of employment I catch it in a container and take it to a safe place.

Hope you aren't including a mosquito. I have trouble figuring out why Noah even put 2 on the Ark.
The rest I would say yes.

Depends on what it is! If it's something useful like a bee then I would; The majority of them I would put out of their misery though!

Yes. I get made fun of at work for that. Poor caterpillars and tow motors don't mix.
