You should take many Advanced Placement classes, and you should take the AP tests to demonstrate that you are able to master college-level materials. You should also have a wide spectrum of classes in various areas, including art and/or music, on your transcript.

Best of luck to you.

First and foremost are English courses (some call them "language skills") The singularly biggest part of College test scores at ALL levels have to do with English usage. Why? Because if people have not mastered language, all else is useless. The section that gets most people busted is:
tomatoe is to plant as child is to ________
Most people bomb this part of the test. Take some practice tests to get a feel for it.
After English, go for the math next (you need it for math courses, the math part of the tests AND for any science course; and, of course, for business courses. Business courses require a practical knowledge in calculus, statistics and future values.
Thirdly, go for the science courses.
After that, go for philosophy, history and the like. Unless you plan on being an art or music major, don't spend much time on them.

Don't forget that your transcripts aren't the only thing colleges will look at. Get involved in your community! Do things for your school. Have interesting hobbies.

AP and Honors will help prepare you for college. You may also want to consider taking courses at a community college while still in high school. Most have what's called dual enrollment.

As you will have learn, AP categories are excellent in case your university presents them. There is one challenge right here. You have got to be certain that the schools you wish to visit take delivery of those credit. Friends of my son had disorders like this. Talk to a university counselor and probably get in contact with a few of these schools.
