It would make more sense to me when reading out loud as to how to pitch the voice.

You could in Espanol they put it before and after the statement or question.

Well, there's nothing stopping you from adopting that convention for yourself, but I can't promise that the rest of the English-speaking world will join you. Personally, I've never had the concern you describe. It only takes a blink to check the end of the sentence if you aren't sure, and most people can discern intuitively what form of sentence it is just by the content and context.

?Does this look right to you. The best way to tell how to pitch your voice is to look at the words that start the sentence. Such as Does or Should. Words that most often start questions
