Yes, in fact despite tons of incorrect myths to the contrary, swamps are a major part of their natural habitat.

they can live in swamps in the tropical conditions. the temperature of the water is very important. they wouldn't adapt well to someplace like the everglades where the water is cold during the winter.

Yes. They're raised in Asia in rice paddies. That's their natural habitat. It really isn't those little plastic cups :) lol
