You say you've been hurt badly in previous m-f relationships and therefor you've given up on men. That's a tough break - just because you've been unlucky thusfar in love is no reason to think that the same thing won't happen within your (idealised) lesbian relationship.
There are a million and one questions you should be asking yourself before committing to a relationship with either a male or a female. You are gaining more of an insight into what you do and don't find appealing about other people. Use that knowledge and understanding when searching for your next mate.
Remember, this big committment for you should be reciprocated! You find trust, co-operation and negotiation within long lasting relationships - if the next person you are with isn't willing to work with you and to take responsibility for the relationship - it is doomed and you should leave it quickly before it turns sour (or worse).
I hope you find your deserved share of happiness soon

You cant just become a lesbian. Its not like you can put on a costume and BAM you're a lesbian. From the context of your question and the reason behind your wanting to "change" your sexuality, I would have to say you have no idea what being a lesbian is truly about, and you should not even try to go any further with this.

You don't just change your sexuality you are born with it so as far as you wanting to become a lesbian because you have had bad run with men is not the way of the world. If you have feelings for women then go for it but if you don't you will only be disappointed.

Hey girl, believe in yourself!
you are either gay or straight or bi, you cannot just chose what you want to be,
do you feel sexy around guys or girls or both!!
you have probably had really bad experiences with a few guys but believe me if that is your orientation, you will eventually find mr or miss right .
i have had 2 divorces and many other relationships and now have been in a relationship for 19 years with a really wonderful man, it sometimes takes a while but hang on in there girl, he or she will turn up

I have always been more attracted to women then men but because of my believes i choose not to live my life as a homosexual. Turning lesbian only if u attracted to women not cause u feel hurt my the male species . Maybe u have not found the right men for u yet.

You are born with the sexuality that you're born with but that being said I suspect if cultural constraints were removed most people would be Bi, gay and straight being at either end of a continuum.
I suggest you visit a few lesbian clubs and hang outs and if you find yourself attracted to someone and they to you see what what happens and remember it's people not gender that really count.

try licking carpet for a while if you get pleasure outta it go for it
but since you say you have been with men i doubt you are a lesbian if you where truly that way you wouldn't be looking for reassurance. I'm sorry you have been with jerks in the past.
i hope in future you meet somebody who is descent and not only makes you happy but you youself want to please
good luck in your life

Try being single for a while and work on your self esteem--then you will be able to meet men who respect women as equal human beings. Being a closet-case straight girl will only get you into relationships that you will find unsatisfying. Not to mention the fact that you will inevitably annoy, and immediately turn off, every lesbian you tell your sob story to. Trust me.

Sorry, but you can't just change your sexuality, its something thats already inside you. If you really are attracted to women, then I'd say it was ok. But you can't just wake up one day and decide to be a lesbian.
Maybe you should just stay single for a bit. Build up your self-esteem. Not think about dating, enjoy yourself. The right man will come along.
