i bought a yoyo loach about a year ago to get rid of the small snails in my tank. It got rid of all of the snails within a couple days.. now i have recently added new plants and mroe snails are beginning to take over by tank again but now the yoyo isnt eating them.. ive tried fastign the fish for a couple days but nothing seems to make him want to eat them.. any ideas why he isnt eatign the snails or what i coudl do to make him eat them??? is this normal??

He probably just got used to prepared foods and doesn't want the snails. I would suggest smashing a few against the glass and letting him eat them. That will probably get him interested in snails again.

no longer as many as will hatch from the snail eggs already laid. each and each will probably eat 3 to 6 snails - best to apply a internet to scrape off as many as you are able to then upload the loaches. Puffers eat the snails too and doubtless extra suitable than the loaches.

Like MM said, he's probably used to prepared food and gotten lazy. If you don't like the idea of smashing them on the side of the tank or if that doesn't work, try picking a few off and dropping them in like his regular food (instead of his regular food). Either way, once he remembers that this is what he prefers to eat, he probably will.

If you really want them gone you might consider purchasing some (Use to have a Snail" for your tank.

Also, every time you put new plants in your tank rinse them really good. Most plants already have eggs on them and they hatch right into your tank.
