If the chemicals in the pool are staggeringly unbalanced then it is possible but only in a situation where there is so much chemical in the pool that it is not diffused by enough water to cut down on its irritational abilities. These cases statistically do not exist given the high water volume of most pools. If the water in a public pool does not fall within certain chemical readings then the pool is closed to patrons, by law. In your home pool it is virtually impossible to fill your pool with enough chlorine or chemical to blind someone without draining half of the water. However, straight chemicals in your eyes can cause blindness.
Your eyes may be irritated after being open underwater for that length of time but you won't go blind unless the extenuating circumstances above apply.

Depending on the chlorine level, I don't think that you could last that long, unless you are breathing through a hose pipe. Anyway what is the point, are you trying to claim on your insurance?
