hate to disagree with all those above--well, actually i don't--but i found it rather slow and tedious. i actually like the idea of it, but i thought it was carried off in a rather lackluster manner.

don't get me wrong, i like movies like this where you can try to figure things out as the movie progresses, but i really got bored with the pacing i think. no, i was not looking for an action film but i also was hoping for something a bit more lively. i am glad i saw it tho and do plan to see the next Brown book-to-movie film also.

in the same sort of history into film theme, the flip side of this is a movie that was done in a less serious mode, where you can actually have a little fun as you try and figure things out--and based on your knowledge of history, you can sometimes be a step ahead of some of the actors. that movie is National Treasure. no, this was not deemed a "serious" film as Da Vinci Code was, but it played better for me as an audience member. and i will be seeing its sequel later this year in hopes it will be as entertaining as the first.

Da Vinci like many artist had recommendations that have been in opposition to mainstream thought. only as entertainers locate a thank you to allow you recognize what they think of appropriate to the subject concerns of today Da Vinci expressed his perspectives in his artwork. The DaVinci code must be like the Springstien Code or the Streisand code. The Da Vinci code mearly contains diffused and not so diffused tricks that Da Vinci disagreed with the perspectives of the Catholic Church. So get excitement from the action picture the e book or maybe the artwork yet do no longer ignore his perspectives weren't unique to Da Vinci, the got here from the gnostic gospels that are undemanding to locate online, yet have been rejected as no longer stimulated

While the movie was all right, the book is amazing. Why?

1 - The facts alone are enough to keep me fascinated.

2 - I am ALWAYS open to hearing theories about the past and especially the church's past. Why? (And this si coming from a Christian!) Because the words the church preach that supposedly come from God were written by a human's hand; where are the original copies from God or Jesus? Do they exist? Notice who wrote down the words - humans. Note who is also the most easily corrupted animal on the planet - humans.

It's an interesting, mind churning story - what's not to like?

the book took me on a journey...transported me...made me think...made me look at everyday things, in a new light... and left me questioning a lot of things...
I was almost sad when I came to the end.
I took the day off from work and just dropped into the world of the DaVinci Code...and for 36 hours I was a kid again...
The experience left me with a sense of wonder and awe.
Bloody brilliant. I will never look at a rose the same way again.

I really liked the book, and the movie was pretty good. Although the movie was different from the book it was still a good different and not too far off track to be bad.
