Black disenfranchisement from the Republican party goes back to the 30s with the Depression. The Dems, the party that was in power then, did seemingly try to help us.
And, the Democratic party did help us during the Civil Rights movement. So even though most blacks are socially conservative, we will vote mostly for the Democrats since they have a recent history of helping us out. They're the party of the people, whereas the Republicans are the party of the corporations.
Nevertheless, one's no better than the other in most cases.

Deshon, I wished you could spread to views to everyone you know. The liberals and democrats are trying to destory the poor and the minorites by keeping them dependent on the system. Education is the only way out. That is why the American Indians never did recover from what happened to them after the government persuaded them to become dependent. That is why the blacks have not come as far as they should in life.

maybe I am wrong for saying this but I am going to say it anyway.. not enough of us find out things for ourselves we rely on other people and what is popular... I know some people who will vote democrat the whole ticket and not know what the heck they are voting for...it is sad really ... a democrat could be running with the intention of putting us back in slavery.. and I bet the majority of black folks would vote for him simply because they see "democratic" behind his name

I don't support any politician or any form of government. Regardless of race, they are unable to bring about the necessary change the world needs.
