Well here is my opinion: I believe any band should be a group effort, so therefore, every position of my band is important to me. Vocals add melody to the song, The Lead Guitar brings us the chord structure (if there is no rhythm guitarist) and solos to add flavor to the song, The Bass and Drums lock in to each other to lay a solid rhythm section. As a musician I listen to each band as a whole, because if one guy isn't doing his job it is very noticeable.

The vocals always make it or break it for me, but I do like the drums a lot as well.
